The Metaphone algorithm calculates codes of different length, which are identical for similar sounding words. This tool is more accurate than the Soundex generator as it uses basic rules of English pronunciation. The entered text will be converted after submitting it.

What is Metaphone?
Metaphone is a phonetic algorithm that can be used to calculate the similarity of words in their sound. Metaphone generates variable length codes. The longer a word, the longer the determined metaphone value. Metaphone was developed for the English language and therefore tries to reproduce similarly sounding English words.
